Suitable spaces for gala dinners

Gala dinners at The Inner Temple are structured to allow the evening to unfold naturally, from welcome drinks through to dinner and presentations.

The evening often begins with a reception, giving guests time to arrive, connect and enjoy the surroundings before moving through to the main event. During the summer months, these receptions may take place on the Terrace or in the Garden, offering an elegant outdoor setting ahead of dinner.

Depending on the tone and scale of the event, gala dinners at The Inner Temple can take place across several of the venue’s event spaces.

The Hall offers the most striking setting for formal dinners, award ceremonies and large-scale alumni events.

For smaller gala dinners or more intimate award evenings, the Parliament Chamber provides an elegant alternative with its oak panelling and characterful setting.

For events that begin with a reception, guests may gather on the Terrace or in the Garden before moving through to the dining space for the main event.

For larger summer events, The Pavilion provides additional capacity within the grounds, allowing gala dinners and celebrations to extend into the outdoor spaces of the estate.

Frequently asked questions

Can the Hall accommodate a stage or raised platform for presentations?

Yes. Additional staging or raised platforms can be arranged where required for speeches, award presentations or performances. The Hall’s gallery also provides an elevated position that can be used for certain elements of the programme.

Do you have AV facilities for speeches and video presentations?

The Hall includes a built-in PA system with microphone for speeches and announcements. Additional AV equipment, including projection and presentation facilities, can be arranged where required, and an in-house AV technician is available to assist with setup and delivery.

Can we bring in our own entertainment or band?

Yes. Live entertainment, bands and DJs can be accommodated. Our events team will coordinate access, setup and technical requirements with your suppliers in advance of the event. We can also recommend a list of trusted suppliers if required.

What's your late licence for evening events?

Evening events typically finish at 11:00pm, with events on Fridays and Saturdays able to run until midnight. Later finishes of up to 1:00am may be available on Fridays and Saturdays on request.
