Set within a private historic estate beside the Thames, The Inner Temple combines architectural character, outdoor space and adaptable event environments, supporting events that require creative freedom alongside the reassurance of an experienced venue team.

The Inner Temple provides a strong setting for dry hire events, bringing together heritage architecture, outdoor space and versatile rooms within one private estate.

This allows organisers and suppliers to shape the event around their own creative brief, while working within a setting that already offers a clear sense of place.

Dry hire events often involve multiple suppliers, so early discussion helps ensure layouts, access and timings are aligned across the estate.

Organisers and their teams typically provide catering infrastructure, production and equipment required for the event. Our team will work with you in advance to coordinate access schedules, supplier logistics and operational requirements.

On the day of the event

On the day itself, an Inner Temple team member will remain on site to oversee venue operations and ensure everything runs smoothly.

While dry hire allows organisers to appoint their own suppliers, discussions can also take place during the enquiry stage regarding any facilities or support the venue may be able to provide. In some cases, wet hire arrangements may also be possible depending on the event and spaces used.

Catering for dry hire events

Dry hire events allow organisers to work with external caterers to deliver cuisine that reflects the style and cultural traditions of the event.

Where appropriate, caterers may be able to use the venue’s main kitchen facilities. Once confirmed, they will be invited to visit the venue to review the space and discuss how it can support the event.

Green Leaf Catering Services

For certain cuisines, we work closely with Greenleaf Catering Services, whose chefs specialise in Sri Lankan, Afghani, Lebanese, Indo-Chinese and Gujarati cuisine, and we are pleased to recommend them where appropriate.

For other requirements, including kosher, Caribbean or other culturally specific cuisines, organisers may appoint their own approved catering teams. Our team will work with all suppliers to ensure arrangements are coordinated effectively.

For those who prefer to keep catering within the venue, our in-house team can also provide bespoke or fusion menus tailored to the event.
