Conferences

The Inner Temple provides a distinctive setting for conferences, seminars, lectures, workshops and panel discussions in the City of London.

Located within one of London’s historic legal estates, the venue offers a range of spaces suited to professional gatherings, from large conference sessions to smaller seminars and breakout discussions.

Hosting a conference at The Inner Temple

With natural daylight in many of the event spaces, alongside dedicated conference facilities including the Lecture Theatre and fourth floor Meeting Rooms, The Inner Temple supports events that require focus, structure and clear presentation.

Flexibility is central to how conferences are delivered

The venue’s layout allows conferences to be organised across multiple spaces where required, making it easy to combine plenary sessions, smaller discussion groups and refreshment breaks within a single event.

Suitable spaces for conferences

How an Inner Temple conference typically unfolds

Conferences at The Inner Temple are typically structured around a central presentation space, supported by breakout areas used throughout the day for refreshments, networking and smaller discussion sessions.

Plenary sessions are often hosted in the Lecture Theatre or one of the larger event spaces, while workshops and breakout sessions can take place in the Meeting Rooms or adjoining spaces.

Typical conference programme and catering

Refreshment breaks and working lunches are incorporated into the programme throughout the day, allowing delegates time to connect and continue discussions between sessions.

Planning considerations

Spring and autumn are particularly popular periods for conferences, with many organisations choosing these seasons for training programmes, professional seminars and industry events.

The Hall is available for conferences from 6:00pm Monday to Friday, with daytime and evening hire available on Saturdays and Sundays. Other conference spaces within the venue offer greater flexibility depending on the format of the event.

Early enquiry is recommended to secure preferred dates and allow time to plan room layouts, technical requirements and catering.

Please note that the venue is closed for events during August, as well as over Christmas, New Year and Easter.
