The Terrace is positioned at the front of the Treasury Building, overlooking the Inner Temple Garden and framed by beds of lavender, shrubs and seasonal planting.

It provides an elegant outdoor setting for spring and summer events, particularly suited to drinks receptions and informal gatherings. The space can be used as a standalone setting or incorporated into a wider event taking place within the venue.

The Terrace experience

Overlooking the Inner Temple Garden, the space offers a relaxed and inviting setting for guests to gather outdoors.

For spring and summer events, it creates a natural focal point for drinks and conversation, allowing the pace of the event to soften as guests spend time outside. As the evening progresses, it offers a change of atmosphere while remaining closely connected to the surrounding event spaces.

For private parties, gala dinners and weekend celebrations, it provides a refined setting for arrival drinks and pre-dinner receptions. It can also be incorporated into wedding celebrations, offering a smaller outdoor setting for drinks while remaining close to the main reception spaces.

Relationship to surrounding spaces

Located at the front of the Treasury Building, the Terrace sits close to several of the venue’s principal event rooms.

This positioning allows it to be incorporated easily into a wider event layout, particularly for receptions that lead into indoor dining or evening celebrations. Its proximity to the first floor rooms makes it a practical and well-connected addition to many event formats.

The Terrace is available from May to September, typically Monday to Friday from 6.00pm to 9.00pm, and may also be incorporated into weekend events. As an outdoor space, early discussion is recommended to secure preferred dates.
