The experience of the space

The Lecture Theatre offers a structured and professional environment designed to support clear communication between speakers and audiences.

Tiered seating provides excellent sightlines across the room, ensuring presentations, panel discussions and lectures can be delivered effectively to the full audience.

The theatre is supported by built in presentation technology including a large screen, lectern and microphone system, with additional microphones available for panel discussions or top table speakers. The space can also support hybrid and livestreamed events, as well as recording where required.

While the theatre itself is designed for focus and presentation clarity, the adjoining breakout space offers natural daylight and views across the Inner Temple estate and Garden, providing a more relaxed environment for guests during breaks.

The Lecture Theatre is well suited to a range of professional and educational formats, including:

The tiered layout allows speakers to address the audience clearly, while the integrated AV setup and flexible microphone options support panel discussions and multi speaker presentations.

Lecture Theatre setup

The Lecture Theatre accommodates up to 120 guests in tiered seating and is available for daytime and evening events, including weekends. Access to the third floor is available via both lift and stairs, with guest bathrooms conveniently located on the same floor.

Hire of the theatre includes the adjoining breakout space, which is typically used for guest arrival, registration, refreshment breaks and informal networking throughout the event.

For conferences or training programmes that require additional breakout areas, Meeting Rooms on the fourth floor can also be incorporated into the event layout, allowing sessions to run across multiple spaces within the venue.

An in house AV technician is available to assist with technical setup and event delivery, while dedicated technicians can also be arranged for more complex production requirements.

Breakout space

The adjoining breakout space is included as part of the Lecture Theatre hire and provides a natural arrival and networking area for guests. As access to the theatre is via this space, it works particularly well for registration, refreshment breaks and informal discussion between sessions.

Filled with natural daylight and overlooking the Inner Temple estate and Garden, the room provides a welcome contrast to the theatre environment and can accommodate up to 120 guests.

Catering

Catering can be arranged throughout the day, from breakfast and working lunches to more substantial dining and evening receptions.

Menus are designed to complement the style of each event, with options ranging from light refreshments and buffets to canapés, bowl food and more formal dining where required.

Food and service can be tailored to suit the format of your event, ensuring a seamless experience for both organisers and guests.
